Medical administrative assistants are an essential part of a well-run doctor’s office or hospital. Demand for them is growing, with a projected 23% jump in employment between 2018 and 2028.*
If you enjoy working with people, are well-organized, good at multi-tasking, and have a knack for coordinating schedules and activities, then this career could be for you. A good medical administrative assistant will set patients at ease, in-person and on the phone while making sure their paperwork is complete, processed quickly, and readily available for the physician.
The Benefits of a Certificate
Most medical facilities expect their administrative assistants to have some form of post-secondary education, so obtaining your certificate can give you a distinct advantage. The four-course program at Cambridge College Global is designed to prepare you to sit for the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exam. You can complete this program in just two terms.
In addition, these four college-level courses can be easily transferred to other Cambridge College medical programs, giving you a head-start on a bachelor’s degree.
