What is an Accelerated Degree Program?

Students often wish they could earn their degree in a quicker fashion, but there are not shortcuts to receiving a quality education.

At New England College of Business, we know that it takes time to learn things properly. But time is not always a luxury we have to spare. Whenever possible, we aim to save our students both time and money.

Enter NECB’s fast track program.

Earning Your Accelerated Business Degree Online

Andrew Taft was deep into his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration undergraduate degree when his advisor called him. She told him he had earned enough credits to become eligible for the fast track program, which would allow him to earn an accelerated bachelor’s degree online.

With the accelerated bachelor’s degree, four of Taft’s undergraduate courses would be replaced with master’s level courses. When he enrolls in NECB’s Master of Business Administration program next year, he will already have completed a few months’ worth of courses — significantly shortening the time it will take him to graduate with his MBA to only one year.

“In general, every job I look at requires a bachelor’s, and oftentimes a master’s,” says Taft. “It opens up opportunities… it’s nice having that freedom.”

In addition to an MBA, accelerated degree students have the option to earn a master’s in:

Taft is a self-proclaimed quick learner, and he relished the challenge of the graduate courses.

“Even though it was harder, I really enjoyed the material,” he says. “I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do an MBA or something else, but when they offered the fast track, it seemed to fit perfectly into what I’m doing right now. It seemed like too good of an opportunity to pass up.”

Enrolling in the accelerated degree program also reduces tuition, saving fast track students a significant amount of money.

If you’re considering enrolling in both an undergraduate and graduate business degree program, then the accelerated college degree online may be for you.
