New England College of Business celebrates 2016 graduation

NECB 2016 Graduation

New England College of Business graduates from across the country celebrated graduation on Saturday, May 21 at 2 p.m. at the John Hancock Hall-Back Bay Events Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Since New England College of Business classes are 100 percent online, Saturday’s commencement was a momentous occasion as graduates from across the United States saw one another face-to-face for the first time. Of the 300 graduates in this year’s class, 100 walked in the ceremony. Seventy-one of the college’s more than 250 corporate partners were represented.

Roger S. Berkowitz, president and CEO of Legal Sea Foods, gave the commencement address. Known for building a highly successful seafood company that includes over 30 restaurant locations, a wholesale business and mail order division, Berkowitz is a respected business leader and community volunteer. He serves on numerous local and statewide boards related to banking, workforce training, education, public health, environmental preservation and the seafood and restaurant industries.

"We are thrilled to have Roger Berkowitz as our commencement speaker,” said Howard E. Horton, Esq., president, New England College of Business. “Roger has a reputation as an incredibly savvy business person, but, equally, as someone highly-dedicated to corporate responsibility and philanthropy. Through intelligent and strategic leadership, he has sustained and grown one of New England's most iconic brands, remaining focused on a mission of exceptional service and product quality that has yielded tremendous customer loyalty. Our graduates are eager to glean some lessons from Roger's experience and insights."
