Allerton Connector Highway Project Management Simulation
In this simulation, you've been named the project manager on a highway construction project in the small city of Allerton. This project is considered to be a “major project” by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), which means it has a budget of $500 million or more.
This simulation is designed for adult learners with some project management experience.
Over the course of the project, you'll make a series of decisions, each of which will impact the project in different ways. As you make these decisions, an adaptive scoreboard will reflect the impact of your choices on project success.
Factors on the Scoreboard
The goal in the simulation is to optimize positive scores across the following project management factors:
- Initiating the Project
- Planning the Project
- Executing the Project
- Monitoring and Controlling the Project
- Closing the Project
- Cross-Cutting Skills
You may request a refund up to 7 days from the purchase date. The registration fee will only be refunded if less than 10% of the course has been completed. Completion percentage can be viewed on the Course Progress page from within the course.
Many sections will have quizzes, and your score on these quizzes will determine whether you earn a certificate of completion, and 10 Project Management Institute® professional development units (PDUs) for completing the simulation. You must score a minimum of 70% on the quizzes to receive the certificate.
This course has an “Ask the Expert” feature, which submits your questions directly to an expert in the field you are studying. Questions are answered as quickly as possible and usually within 24 hours.
This course does not require any additional purchases of supplementary materials.
Learners must achieve an average test score of at least 70% to meet the minimum successful completion requirement and qualify to receive IACET CEUs. Learners will have three attempts at all graded assessments.
