Chaired Nursing Quality Assurance Committee and improved quality assurance monitoring. Responsible for resolving clinical practice issues and implementing JCAHO standards of care. Coordinated the preparation for two successful JCAHO visits. Revised and developed the system of nursing care delivery in a new hospital setting. Involved in planning and executing the move to the new hospital. Chaired the Nursing Policy and Procedure Committee. Member of the following hospital wide committees: Risk Management, Perinatal Review, Special Care Nursery, Ambulatory Review, Medical Records and Institutional Review Board. Coordinated grant writing for the Nursing Department, including the writing of successfully funded grants for the March of Dimes, Lalor Foundation, and the Rhode Island Department of Health.
